Κωνσταντίνου Γεώργιος Ν., Το Σύντομο Αναστασιματάριο του Πέτρου Πελοποννησίου

Abstract. The Syntomon Anastasimatarion of Petros Peloponnisios. The Syntomon (quick) Anastasimatarion of Petros Peloponnisios (syllabic or heirmologic melody), is entirely written in old notation and includes all hymns of Resurrection, in the ecclesiastic modal system (oktoihia). Until now, we were only aware of the quick (syllabical) version of some Resurrection hymns, which can be found in many manuscripts containing the moderately quick Anastasimatarion (new sticheraric melody) . The Syntomon Anastasimatarion of Petros Peloponnisios can be found in the manuscripts of old notation, in two forms: the first form contains all hymns in all modes according to the contents of the Anastasimatarion and the second form contains all unregistered hymns that don’t exist in the moderately quick version. In both versions, the Resurrection hymns in mode Varis are highlighted in varis diatonic from Zo, without being transferred to printed version ever. Although this Anastasimatarion was transcribed into the new method by the reformers teachers (Grigorios Protopsaltis and Chourmouzios Chartofylax), it circulated in a different printed form (1839), according to the oral trandition of Konstantinos Protopsaltis. The fact that we have in our days the Syntomon Anastasimatarion of Petros Peloponnisios, both in old and new method notations, gives opportunity to the musicological community to take advantange and understand better its progress through the years until today.
